In this short sermon Glynn talks about the early Jesus movements who gathered around a meal to support each other, offering mutual pastoral care and a sense of belonging.  One of the metaphors to describe their communal life was the body.  This metaphor though was connected with a radical egalitarian vision for the whole world, a vision that would lead them into conflict with the empire.
