Easter 1 @ St Luke's 'The Thursday revolution'.

That's what the American progressive theologian Diana Butler Bass calls it.  Instead of the focus on Good Friday, or even Easter Sunday, Bass suggests that the Jesus focus would have been on the Thursday.  The night in John's Gospel when Passover was celebrated.  A liberation celebration.  With food and friends at table the Jesus way of mutuality was enacted.  It was to this table that the disciples returned time and again in the weeks, months, and years following as they, as a community, came to embody resurrection.
